Objective
Peter has specialized in process improvement, building on a platform in software engineering at all levels. He has significant software/business process experience, focusing on the Carnegie Mellon University Software Engineering Institute Capability Maturity Model. He is authorized by the SEI as a Lead Assessor to lead/carry out assessments using their CMM-based Appraisal for Internal Process Improvement (CBA IPI) method. He also Is a SEI Authorized CMMI Lead Assessor. For over eight years, He also specialized in Project management, risk management and general management issues in companies, more specifically in companies that develop software in one form or another. As such, he has input into the management of organizations ranging from a dozen to several thousand employees, including major international financial institutions and communication organizations.
The general tendency witnessed is that there is a direct relationship between the management processes that are in place and used and the work processes and ethics that result. Peter has therefore moved his focus more and more away from the primary software development issues and more towards the management processes that relate to them, whether at project level or at corporate level.
Work Experience:
Over twenty-five years experience in the software development industry, eight years in the software process improvement industry. Has lived in four countries (two continents) and seek to

Has led or participated in over twenty assessments on CBA IPI and SCAMPI, including many high level assessments such as Level 4 and Level 5 in four different languages (English, French, Dutch, German), and has successfully led training in software engineering activities and software process improvement models, tools and techniques in three different languages (not German). Authorized lead assessor in both CBA IPI (CMM? Based Assessments for Internal Process Improvement and SCAMPI) as well as author of the CAT (Constructive Assessment Technique) seeking to promote positive process improvement rather than criticism and identification of points of failure.
